Well, the Oscars just wrapped up, and MAN, were there some surprises in store today!
First off, I want to congratulate all the actors and crews behind the movies that I've seen this past year, including Brad Pitt for winning Best Supporting Actor for Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, Joaquin Phoenix for winning Best Actor in Joker, Elton John and Bernie for winning Best Song for RocketMan, Toy Story 4 for winning Best Animated Feature Film, 1917 for your wins, ESPECIALLY for Best Cinematography, and Ford v. Ferrari for your wins. All of your Oscar triumphs are well-deserved!
And finally, I want to also express my sincerest and most heartfelt congratulations to Laura Dern for winning the Oscar for Best Supporting Actress for Marriage Story - Happy Birthday to you! - and most of all, to Parasite for reigning supreme at the Oscars and blowing our expectations away with your wins for Best Director and for Best Picture of the year. No foreign film (not even Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon or Roma) was ever as lucky as you just became.
